If sources are to be believed, Farhan Akhtar reneged on his commitment to the organisers of a fashion awards show held in Delhi on Friday night. Sources say he suddenly fell sick and his doctor advised him against travelling.

A source says, "Farhan and his co-stars from Dil Dhadakne Do, including Priyanka Chopra and Anil Kapoor, had promised to be present at the function and their film won the Stylish Film of the Year award too. Though PeeCee and Anil kept their word, Farhan backed out at the last minute saying that he was unwell." The actor had tweeted about not being able to attend the awards function.


Farhan, however, was seen at his film's promotional campaign in the city on Sunday where his co-star Ranveer Singh was seen pulling his leg. According to a source, "He kept pestering Farhan to sing, but the latter did not oblige as he is on medication. He can barely speak. The infection will take a few days to subside."
