Director: Rohit Jugraj
Rating: ***1/2
Sardaar ji is more of a hilarious movie which mixes horror and humour. This movie has evoked Punjabi audience's interest as could be seen with packed houses in Chandigarh. After the grand success of movies like Jatt & Juliet, Jatt & Juliet 2 and Jihne Mera Dil Luteya, the amazing duo of Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa is back together again. A high budget (Rs 11 crore) movie has been shot in the UK.
It is a new concept, Neeru Bajwa plays a female Ghost aka Pinki Bhootni while Diljit is seen as a typical Punjabi Jatt who one day receives a phone call from UK with a challenge to stay at a haunted Castle in the London and if he survives than he will get Lakhs of Pounds as reward.
Ghost arrives in the form of Neeru Bajwa. This time around the tables get turned as it becomes a big concern for the spirit itself to tolerate the Jatt in Diljit. In fact. it was the Nikaah of a Muslim couple which brought the fabled castle into limelight. Whos ever entered the monument was nicely thrashed by Pinki (Neeru Bajwa).
The queen of the UK was to attend the marriage ceremony for which advance security drills were conducted. And Neeru had died sometime ago in this mishap.
Director Rohit Jugraj made it look better than other movies by using different formations in the scenes but failed to get it right in the end. The music and songs especially "I Love U Ji", "Veer Vaar" and "Taare Mutiyaare" are a treat to the hearing sense. And as far as acting is concerned, Diljit once again sets a mark and proves his critics wrong. On the other hand, Neeru Bajwa and Mandy Takhar also performed pretty well in the movie. Famous comic star Jaswinder Bhalla and Amrinder Chottu are seen in comedy roles as usual and come out on top.
The movie must be watched to enjoy the antics and comic timings of Diljit Dosanjh!
