Actor-anchor Manish Paul who is known for his humour and quick wit, says that if given the chance to host a serious TV show like "Crime Patrol" or "Savdhaan India - India Fights Back", he is willing to step out of his comic zone in the belief that one should "never say never" in the industry.

Known for hosting celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded", Manish has taken to hosting National Geographic show, "Science of Stupid" for the second time.

"I would definitely host a serious TV show like 'Savdhaan India - India Fights Back' or 'Crime Patrol' if given the opportunity. I am not just about humour, although the audiences generally get to see my that side mostly. In our industry one should never say never. Whatever comes my way, I work hard on it," Manish told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

"One has to keep a straight face in a serious show and I have done that before for 'MTV Webbed' and I was appreciated by people too so I can and I am willing to," he added.

Asked whether the humour in his jokes is scripted or is he like that in reality too, Manish shared that a lot of it is spontaneous.

"You have seen my humour that I add to my hosting? That is the kind of person I am in reality as well. I keep having fun. That is much of me that you see. I don't practice my humour as such, it is pretty spontaneous. I don't just stick to the script," he said.

"Obviously I do have very good writers who write for me but apart from them I try and add a lot of humour on my own," he added.

Coming up with "Science of Stupid", which premiered on August 15, Manish said: "We are touching new topics this time, there are a couple of wild episodes involving wildlife. New humour definitely. Every time I come on screen I try something new, and I am back with that."

"The videos are from all over the world. There some people who try to mess with science, and the good part is that they make videos of them and share it," he added.

The actor also plans to share some of his own videos in the next season.

"Next season, I plan to put in one or two of my own videos. I like to mess with water a lot, in childhood I used to mess with fire as well. During that time one did not make much videos but I do have some of them, some or the goof-ups did happen," said Manish.

As the host of the show, Manish explains the logic and science behind all kinds of mishap activities performed by individuals from around the world.

National Geographic Channel reveals tricks on how to get freedom from stupidity by simply explaining science looking at everything including weight, volume, momentum, combustion and even how the brain operates.

Manish is currently filming for films, "Tere Bin Laden 2" and "Katha" besides hosting.
