Shilpa Shetty Kundra became a household name in England ,having won the reality show Big Brother, is still fondly remembered globe wide as the desi girl with a heart of gold. The actress turned businesswoman who is currently enjoying running the Best Deal TV business and working on her fashion line, apart from her health and fitness book ,which marks her debut as an author was recently approached by an international lifestyle channel to host a traveling show on fashion.

The concept of the show was to travel overseas, and cover the various local fashion influences and how they manage to keep their culture alive through their clothes. The show also included Shilpa sporting the traditional outfits of each country and traveling with a fashion designer/ influencer of a particular country to study trends in detail.


Shilpa however turned down the offer as the commitment would have required her to travel back to back to locations like France, Tokyo, Mexico, Spain and Turkey on a continuous schedule, which would mean being away from her family and her businesses in India for long periods of time. Given that Shilpa has always maintained that she wants to strike a work and family life balance, the arrangement of the show didn't suit her schedule and hence she turned it down,despite being offered a whopping amount .

Shilpa's spokesperson said, "Shilpa really liked the concept of the show , however, it involved traveling for several months on end and hence had to turn it down."
