Firebrand model and actress Arshi Khan who is an Afghani-Pakistani Muslim by descent has been offered a whooping Rs 2 crore by a Pakistani general entertainment channel (GEC) for a reality show `Arshi Ka Swayamvar`. The show is expected to air in December and shooting will commence from November-end, sources told IndiaNewsNetwork.IN. Arshi Khan's was born in Afghanistan but her family moved to Bhopal soon after. Her mother is Indian, while her father is of Afghani-Pakistani descent.

As reported earlier by IndiaNewsNetwork.IN, a top Pakistani channel had invited Arshi Khan to participate in a swayamvar-like reality show, where Arshi Khan will have to choose a groom from a group of suitors. Arshi Khan seems to be more popular and known in Pakistan than in India, thanks to her alleged link-up with Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi.

If one checks out Arshi Khan's fan following on her official Twitter handle @ArshiKOfficial, about 50 per cent of her followers hail from Pakistan. Not surprising, because Arshi Khan is originally of Afghani-Pakistani descent and has many relatives and cousins in Pakistan. Her father moved to India during the partition, but several other family members stayed back.

Speaking to IndiaNewsNetwork.IN in Mumbai where she is based, Arshi Khan said, `Yes I have been invited for a television reality show in Pakistan. Right now my passport has got expired and I have sent my passport for renewal. Besides we are in negotiations with the channel regarding dates of the show, as I have several Tamil and Telugu films lined up back to back. I have to juggle the dates of my films as well. Three south film are on the floor and I am living out of a suitcase, travelling every week to Chennai and Hyderabad,` Arshi Khan told IndiaNewsNetwork.IN. She recently returned from Hyderabad after shooting for the Telugu film `Love Success` with stars Chandrababu and Arshi Khan in the main lead.


However, Arshi Khan refused to name the Pakistani channel which has invited her to participate in the `Arshi ka Swayamvar` show, citing confidentiality clause with the channel. I cannot reveal the name of the channel right now, Arshi Khan said, adding that once the dates and financial issues are sorted out, the announcement would be made by the channel itself.

Arshi Khan has been in the news for her relationship with Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi. She recently tweeted saying, `yes I had sex with Afridi, so what`, creating a furor both in India and Pakistan. She also has taken on self-proclaimed god woman Radhe Maa making several starting revelations and earning the wrath of the god woman's followers who have bombarded her with defamation case notices and court complaints. Arshi Khan is undeterred and claims that she has complete proof and evidence of her statements against Radhe Maa and her associates and she will provide all the evidence in a court of law, when the time is right.
