Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2is the kind of film that needs camaraderie between its male actors, says director Luv Ranjan.

While Kartik Aaryan has been retained from the film's 2011 prequel, newcomers, Omkar Kapoor and Sunny Singh, have been roped in for this installment. "I had to ensure that the actors share a similar rapport that the earlier cast had. So, we conducted workshops where the boys chilled out with each other for eight hours every day for six months, before we started shooting.Kartik made sure that Sunny and Omkar felt at home.The trio went for a vacation to Goa to celebrate Kartik's birthday. They had a blast at my sister's wedding too. Their off-screen friendship has translated well onscreen," the director added.
