Director Luv Ranjan and producer Abhishek Pathak's latest collaboration breaks the norm of quintessential Bollywood love stories. At the same time, it also aims to give a real picture of what happens when you're in a relationship. The comedy tells men burdened by endless expectations to stop being silent and speak up against the grievances of those tormented by love.
Gogo (Kartik Aaryan), Thakur (Omkar Kapoor) and Chauka (Sunny Singh) who want to be good boyfriends/husbands, respect their women and lead a good life. But it becomes impossible for them to understand their women - Chiku (Nushrat Bharucha), Kusum (Ishita Raj) and Supriya (Sonnalli Seygall) respectively. The three guys' journey holds a mirror to reality, showing the reflection in a funny way. Luv explains,"We felt that it is time for the men to stand up and speak up for themselves.Telling a story from the male perspective and making this film is our ode to man-kind trapped by idiosyncrasies of relationships." As the comic caper opens in cinemas, its makers ask men to 'embrace freedom' as those who didn't get it in thePyaar Ka Punchnama, can watch love get whipped again in this hilarious sequel.
