Bollywood actress Vidya Balan got a chance to meet eight-time Oscar-winning music composer-pianist Alan Menken who is in India for the maiden Broadway show of timeless classic "Beauty and the Beast".

Vidya took to Twitter on Friday to share her photograph with Menken.

"With Alan Menken, the music composer of 'Beauty and the Beast', who is an eight time Oscar award winner," she captioned the image.

Being brought to the country by Disney India, "Beauty and the Beast" will first set its foot here on Friday, and then travel to Delhi.

But a special red carpet premiere of the musical was planned for Bollywood celebrities and industry bigwigs for them to have a first glimpse of the show in India.

Menken has composed music for "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast", "Enchanted" and "Tangled" among others.

Menken has won four Academy Awards each for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
