Gossip mills are abuzz with rumours about Jacqueline Fernandez turning down an offer to perform at an awards show in Dubai where she will be presented with a 'style icon' trophy. The actress apparently did not like the fact that the organisers approached her just a week in advance.

Says a source, "The event is scheduled to take place today. When Jacky was approached last week, she told the organisers that she always performs with her own dance troupe based in Bandra and needs sufficient time for rehearsals. They were ready to give her a fat cheque for the gig, but she did not consider the offer. She maintained that she should have been informed much in advance."


Jacqueline will, however, collect her award; she flew to the City of Gold yesterday. While the actress remained unavailable for comment, a source close to her says, "She will stay there for a couple of days before flying back to Mumbai. She is excited about getting an award for her style sense."
