"Haraamkhor" producer Guneet Monga, who is elated that the movie won the Silver Gateway Award at the 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival here, says the team is now excited about releasing the film for the Indian audience.
The film, which features actors Nawazzudin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi, is about 15-year-old Sandhya who is infatuated with her 35-year-old school teacher, Shyam.
`We were extremely excited to show the film to our Indian audience and I am elated with the response that we have received. After receiving such warm acknowledgments in international festivals, I am glad to receive this award at our very first Indian premiere, now we are looking forward to releasing the film soon,` Monga said in a statement.
Besides `Haraamkhor`, Monga of Sikhya Entertainment also had the screening of films `Peddlers`, `Monsoon Shootout` and "Khoya" at the fest.
