Dubai film fest to honour Naseeruddin Shah

Veteran Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah, who has worked in over 200 films, will be presented the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF)

"Honoured to present the legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah with its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Shah has appeared in over 200 films in a remarkable and diverse career spanning 40 years. aa#aZDIFF15a aa#aZmydubai," read a post on the official Facebook page of the gala.

DIFF will be held here from December 9-16.


Naseeruddin has impressed cine-goers as well theatre enthusiasts with his performances, which have cut across all genres.

The actor has done roles as varied as that in "Masoom","Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro", "Sparsh", "Sarfarosh", "Iqbal", "A Wednesday", "The Dirty Picture" and "Dedh Ishqiya".

The 66-year-old is a National Film Award winner, and is married to Ratna Pathak Shah, who is also a respected actor in the Hindi film industry.
