Actress Radhika Apte who currently began filming opposite Rajinikanth for their upcoming next 'Kabali' has received a compliment from the superstar within days of commencement of their shoot.

Rajnikanth plays a mob boss and Radhika plays his wife in the film.

The actress shot her first scene with the legend over the weekend, in Goa. She was nervous, but the superstar made her feel comfortable by helping her with her lines, cracking a joke and complimenting her work.

Though Radhika has earlier done the Tamil film (Dhoni), and is familar with the language, she was conscious about not taking retakes while shooting with the star.


On the first day of shoot only she had dialogues, while her co-star didn't. But she learned them so well that she didn't have to do any retakes.

Radhika says, "I feel it's a great opportunity to be able to work with Rajni sir. He is the most humble and simple human being I have come across. I feel lucky to share screen space with him so early on in my career.`

The film will be shot in Chennai, Malaysia, Bangkok and Hong Kong and dubbed and simultaneously released in Telugu as Mahadeva.
