Nikhil Dwivedi, best known for his roles in films like "My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves" and "Hate Story", has welcomed his first child with wife Gaurie.

"Gaurie gave birth to a boy on Friday morning at 11.25 a.m. at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai," said a source.

"Nikhil is ecstatic and a proud father," the source added.

The couple got married in March 2011.

Nikhil, 36, was last seen on the silver screen in "Tamanchey" along with Richa Chadha.
