Actor Shahid Kapoor is really happy with the way Priyanka Chopra's career is shaping up in Hollywood as he feels the actress always had the spark to make it big internationally.

Shahid, 34, who was once rumoured to be dating the "Quantico" star, said the actress has made the country proud with her success in Hollywood.

"We all are very proud of Priyanka. We are so happy to see her taking India on the international platform. She always had the potential to be an international star and she is doing really well," Shahid said here at the Zee Cine Awards 2016 press conference yesterday.


Last year, the "Shaandaar" star took to Twitter to praise Priyanka's performance in period drama " Bajirao Mastani".

"@priyankachopra in top form. And above all sanjay leela bhansali," he wrote.

The actors are said to have dated briefly after working on Vishal Bhardwaj's "Kaminey".
