If sources are to be believed, Richa Chadha, who is shooting for the Sarabjit Singh biopic in Punjab, is going through a harrowing time. No, it's not got anything to do with the film. We hear the actress is being stalked by a fan who she met on the sets in Amritsar.

Says a source, "Locals used to crowd around the Sarbjit sets and Richa used to oblige her fans' request for a handshake or a photo. A young man who had met her managed to get her phone number and has been pursuing her through text messages. Richa has no clue how he got her contact details."

One of the messages that he sent her apparently reads, 'I want to extend my friendship with you; I am a big fan, please don't ignore me.'


The source adds, "Richa ignored the messages initially, but when he started calling up from different numbers, modulating his voice, she informed the production team. Now, as a precautionary measure, they have tightened the security around the sets so that the stalker is unable to meet her."

It is unclear if the actress has lodged a formal complaint yet. Richa remained unavailable for comment.
