Prominent citizens from the town, which is also termed as the cultural hub of Assam and is going to poll in the first phase on 4 April, are of the view that neither the state government nor the Centre is playing a positive role in solving the problems of Assam. Infiltration and developing the town as a tourist destination are the two key issues which are likely to agitate the voters' mind in deciding the fate of candidates in the prestigious constituency during the Assam Assembly polls.
Many people from assam are shifted out of the city. One among them is Model turned actress Miss Teen Mahika Sharma, who comes from Tinsukia, Assam. The actress is always seen concern about her home state and its development. However this time she will not be able to vote in the election.
When we connected the actress, she shares, " I myself feels so shame that I will be not present for my vote. Votes are the right to everyone. Even its a duty towards our nation development. But for my professional commitment I will not be able to visit Assam. Hope the results go good for my state and help for the development."
Hmmm... way to go Mahika
