At a time when Bollywood actors are going to the West to expand their horizon, Irrfan Khan hopes Indian directors would also go and make a mark there.

"I hope more and more directors would also travel there and make a name for themselves. We have so many talented directors, they must go and work there," Irrfan told reporters here at the trailer launch of "Madaari" last evening.

The "Paan Singh Tomar" star heaped praise on actress Priyanka Chopra, who is making a name for herself in the West with her performance in "Quantico".

"Priyanka deserves every recognition coming her way. She deserves much more. The way she has reached Hollywood in such a small time and with so much recognition, I think she is doing great," Irrfan said.

"And that industry is not easy. It is something that is happening out of this world and she deserves every praise coming her way," he said.

Irrfan credits his directors with what he has achieved so far in his career.

"They (referring to directors) have shaped me. People don't come to see performance, they come to see people on screen (actors). We are fortunate that despite not doing dance and all (in films), people still come and see the film."

"Madaari", a social-thriller starring Irrfan Khan and Jimmy Shergill, is set to release on June 10. The film is directed by Nishikant Kamat.
