A Bollywood fan flew all the way to India to return an umbrella belonging to actor Abhishek Bachchan, who left it behind at an airport in South Africa, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The fan, a young woman working at the airport in the South African coastal city of Durban, met Abhishek as he prepared to fly to India recently, the daily reported.

The two chatted for a while before Abhishek boarded his plane to Mumbai, forgetting his umbrella, it said.

The star-struck fan then flew to Mumbai to return the umbrella, the newspaper added.

Thirt-year-old Abhishek has received rave reviews for his latest release Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and the film is playing to packed houses in Mumbai.
