This director is trying hard to patch up with his actor friend with whom he had a major fallout a few years ago.

This actor-director duo has delivered several hits at the box office and at one point, the two were considered best of friends. However, a few years ago, they had a fallout after the director chose to turn to another A-list actor for a film. Now, we hear, the filmmaker is keen to patch things up with this established actor.

Says a source, "Although the director has helmed many successful films, his last outing didn't create magic at the box office. This forced him to introspect and not repeat mistakes he made earlier. He is keen that he reunites with his actor friend and begin work on another instalment of his famous franchise."

The director is seeking help of common friends to get things going, but it seems nothing is working out for him at the moment. "The next part of his franchise has been announced and he, without a doubt, wants this experienced actor on board," adds the source.
