Kanika Kapoor to belt out chartbusters picturised on veteran actress Zeenat Aman at an awards show

Bollywood celebrities are gearing up for IIFA 2016, an upcoming awards gala in Spain, with some of them busy rehearsing for their stage performances. Sources associated with the show tell us that Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor will pay tribute to yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman by crooning a few songs picturised on the iconic actress.

For her act, the singer, who recently made waves with her Da Da Dasse track in Udta Punjab, has chosen songs which she thinks signify the veteran actress' legacy and are still remembered. The list includes Laila O Laila and Baat Ban Jaaye (Qurbaani), Chura Liya Hai Tumne (Yaadon Ki Baarat), Dum Maaro Dum (Hare Rama Hare Krishna) and Do Lafzon Ki (The Great Gambler) among others.

Kanika confirms the story and says, `Besides being a prolific actress, Zeenatji is popularly known for her grace and sensuality. She was a trendsetter in many ways.

She never shied away from anything and stood firm by her choices. It's an absolute honour to perform on her songs since she has been my idol and inspiration.`
