Known for speaking her mind, Kangana Ranaut seems to have caught the fancy of folks across the border. The actress has been invited to an event in Pakistan to debate and speak about changing needs of society that influence educational processes at an international education and cultural festival in Lahore from November 4-6. The event will bring together thinkers and educators from the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and other countries.

A source says, `Kangana received the invitation last week. The organisers will be flying down shortly to extend her a formal invite. She is keen to visit Pakistan and dwell upon global issues. She sees it as a good opportunity as she is being considered part of a league that can make a difference.`

The actress is currently in her hometown in Himachal Pradesh. She is taking some time off before she starts shooting for Hansal Mehta's next titled Simran.

A source close to the actress says, `Kangana is keen to go to Pakistan provided relations between the two countries are relatively peaceful at that time. She is currently working out her dates to accommodate the event.`

The conference is being organised by Beaconhouse, the largest independent school network in the world as accepted by the World Bank.

This year, the festival will focus on the growing influence of geopolitics and global security, digital technologies, media, art and culture.
