Mohit Suri has written a heartfelt note wishing Shraddha Kapoor all the happiness and success on the occasion of her Birthday.

The director shares a special bond with the actress as they go back from Aashiqui 2 days way back in 2013. After Aashiqui2, Mohit directs her in Half Girlfriend again where she brings to life the character of 'Riya Somani' from Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name. The director also gifted the birthday girl a stole with the name of her character 'Riya', embroidered on it.

Dear Shraddha,

Looking at the journey that we've shared so far, we have created an everlasting bond that is now beyond work and more familial.

Sometimes, I am so overwhelmed by the work you're doing today. Its amazing to see your growth from Aashiqui2 to Half Girlfriend. It's a great feeling to witness you finding your wings, learning to fly and leaving the nest. Along with the wings to fly, I hope that I've also given you the roots to depend on! I love the hunger that you have for work and the need you have to grow as a person! Don't ever let that feeling die. Keep following your heart and being you. I am so proud of all that you are, all that you have been and all that you're yet to be! A mentors journey is not just about giving. What is mostly forgotten is that it is also about receiving in return! What we receive is so much faith, trust, love and promise of a glorious future. Our journey is far from complete but we are definitely on the right track kiddo! So, thank you for being a part of my journey as well.
