Om Puri's last complete film '2006 Varanasi- The Untold' released its first look on 13th March. The filmmakers were planning to have Om Puri on board for a voice-over of the film as a narrator. After the sudden demise of the actor the makers approached a lot of people from the industry, a few to be Om Puri's friends and have now finally got director, producer, writer and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia to lent his voice.

Producer Mira Marwah of Silver Entertainment told Mumbai Mirror, "After Om Puri's demise, they had approached a couple of his friends from the industry but things didn't work out. But now Tigmanshu will be dubbing for the part. He was a close friend of Om ji as well as director Aryeman Keshu. He immediately agreed to dub his voice as a tribute to him."

'2006 Varanasi- The Untold', Aryeman Keshu's directorial venture revolves around a controversial writer who gets intrigued by a bomb blast in the holy city of Varanasi. Produced by Silver Entertainment and Morning Star the film also stars Raima Sen, Ravi Kishan, Rahul Dev, Mukul Dev, Kamlesh Sawant, Nitash Marwah, Ankit Bhardwaj, Matilda Petrovic and Apurv Ratan and is slated to release this year, 2017.
