If rumour mills are to be believed, Meghna Gulzar has zeroed in on the lead actor for her next. Vicky Kaushal is likely to feature in the cinematic adaptation of Harinder Sikka's book, Calling Sehmat, starring Alia Bhatt.

Sources close to the production team revealed that, "He (Vicky) is in talks for the film with Alia. The film needs a performer like him. But he is yet to sign on the dotted lines and figure out the dates."

The film, set against the 1971 Indo-Pak war, will revolve around a Kashmiri woman married to an Army officer across the border, who provides Indian intelligence with invaluable information. The untitled project will be produced jointly by Meghna and Karan Johar's banner. It is slated to go on floors next month.
