The comedy is one such genre which needs to be handled very carefully and after seeing some good comedy movies in Punjabi Cinema the expectations are really high. But Nikka Zaildar 2 did not let us down and has emerged as the true winner.

Nikka Zaildar 2 is the story of a happy go lucky guy Nikka (Ammy Virk) who is happy in his own phase of life. Nikka has Nirmal Rishi and Sardar Sohi as his grandparents, his parents are no more as they died in his childhood. An uncle (Rana Ranbir) and aunt (Rakhi Hundal) are other family members of Nikka and they have a son.

Sequences unfold Nikka is deeply and madly in love with Saawan Kaur (Wamiqa Gabbi) a school teacher; in fact both love each-other and wants to get married.

On the other hand, Saawan's brother Chamkaur Singh (Baninderjit Singh Bunny) is sulking to get married and he desperately asks his mother (Anita Devgan) to find a suitable match for him. Then his father tells them about a marriage proposal and they decide to go and see the girl. Saawan tells Ammy about the marriage proposal for her brother and he finds out that he knows the girl and her family.

Now there is the entry of Roop (Sonam Bajwa), with whom Saawan's brother is getting married. Nikka being the childhood friend of Roop goes to her house for the marriage but his sole purpose is to be in the eyes of Saawan's family and he eventually succeeds in it.

Just a day before the marriage the Saawan's brother's marriage her family asks for the dowry. Initially the family hesitates but in the end, they agree on the demand but Roop's grandmother refuses to bow down and the marriage was called off. And when the whole family was in sorrow for broken marriage Roop's grandmother decided to marry her with Nikka and she goes to Nikka's home to meet his grandmother. On the other hand, Nikka who is totally unaware is making arrangements for Roop's marriage.

But destiny has something else in stores. On the day of marriage, Nikka finds out that it's him who is getting married to Roop and under family's pressure Nikka and Roop get married. But Nikka has Saawan in his heart and he wants her in his life.

Then it's a change of pace and movie touches the emotions chord. What happened next is a string of many events. How Saawan finds out about Nikka's marriage and how Roop reacted when she finds out that her husband is in love with someone else and how Nikka handles the whole situation is pretty interesting. And we are sure you'll definitely love to find out. There are certain scenes in the movie which will leave a lasting impression.

And yes there is a surprise for all the fans of Punjabi music and those who like Punjabi music and cinema. Well, we won't give you any clue but when you'll watch the movie you guys will love that surprise.

If we talk about the acting and performances then Ammy Virk has definitely established himself as an actor. He is the show stealer in the film and the whole film revolves around him. His acting, comic timing and dialogue delivery everything has really improved. This is the reason he is the most sought-after celebrity of Punjabi Cinema.

Sonam Bajwa has played her character so well that you'll really feel for her. She has many hits under her belt. She is a delight to watch on screen.

Wamiqa Gabbi has also done justice to her character. Though there was not much to do for her still she managed to mark her presence.

Other actors like Nirmal Rishi, Sardar Sohi, Rana Ranbir and Baniderjit Singh Bunny have also played their part very well.

The music scored by Gurmeet Singh is already a hit. 'Kali Jota', 'Gaani', and 'Mehndi' are a delight to ears. The evergreen classic by Muhammad Sadiq & Ranjit Kaur 'Jatti Mili Jatt Nu' is a song which you'll remember for a long time.

Jagdeep Sidhu has really impressed us with his meaningful writing. Whether it's brilliant screenplay or the funny one-liners, everything falls in place for Nikka Zaildar 2. Nikka Zaildar and Sargi are other films which are written by Jagdeep Sidhu.

Simerjit Singh is the captain of this ship who has many hit films to his credit such as Nikka Zaildar, Baaz, Daddy Cool Munde Fool and Angrej. He knows what his audience wants. Right from the beginning to the end he has done a remarkable job.

Though it was a good overall experience there are short-comings too. The climax could have been better. To control the length of the movie the climax was not treated in a proper way. But this can be ignored as rest of the performances are too good.

So in a nutshell, if you love Punjabi Cinema then this movie will not let you down!
