Aamir Khan along with Advait Chandan who is on a promotional spree for his upcoming film 'Secret Superstar' relished on the Gujarati Thali in Baroda.

Aamir Khan in the capacity of the producer is currently busy promoting his upcoming film 'Secret Superstar' starring Zaira Wasim in the lead. Aamir Khan is launching new talents with his film 'Secret Superstar'. After director Advait Chandan and singer Meghna Mishra, Aamir Khan launched the third Secret Superstar from the film Tirth Sharma.

'Secret Superstar' is not only based in Baroda but also completely shot in the city of Gujarat. The third talent Tirth Sharma also hails from Baroda, therefore the team of Secret Superstar visited the city.

While in Baroda, Aamir Khan relished on the delicacies of Gujarati Thali. Not many know that the actor is very fond of Gujarati cuisine. The actor who is known to follow a strict diet broke hid routine in order to savour the delicious treat.

The actor hogged on the delicacies of 'lauki ki sabzi', 'Gujarati daa'l and 'Barjra no rotlo' amongst others served to him. Aamir Khan loved the dishes so much that he packed two take-aways for home, for wife Kiran Rao and himself.


Aamir Khan enjoyed the thali so much so that he expressed his desire to meet the chef and praised him for the meal saying 'it was the most delicious food he has ever tasted'.

'Secret Superstar' is a film essentially based on music with the lead protagonist Insia played by Zaira Wasim being an aspiring singer. The young girl faces resistance from her father after which she opts to follow her dreams by posting videos on social media anonymously.

The film has been generating huge buzz owing to the return of the Dangal duo Aamir Khan- Zaira Wasimin addition to the content of the film.

The trailer of the film has received a great response raising the anticipation for the film. The songs 'Main Kaun Hoon', 'Meri Pyaari Ammi' and 'Sapne Re' provide further insights into the film.

While the first song 'Main Kaun Hoon' depicted Insia living her dream, the second song 'Meri Pyaari Ammi' gave a shout out to the support she receives from her mother to fulfill her dreams. The third song from the film 'Sapne Re' takes the narrative forward and highlights the huff of Insiya where she is seen struggling to fulfill her dreams.

'Secret Superstar' is Aamir Khan Productions' upcoming film after delivering blockbuster films like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Dangal among others.

Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, Secret Superstar is written and directed by Advait Chandan. The film is slated to release on 19th October 2017.
