Shahid Kapoor has become one of the most sought after actor in the last couple of years. In 2016 he walked away with the accolades and several awards for his performance as the drugged-out rapper Tommy Singh in Udta Punjab. Shahid's career is flying high and high. Recently, a presswallah caught a sneak preview of Padmaavat (the journo saw the rushes when the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was called Padmavati) and came back saying that Shahid's Maharawal Ratan Singh act is perfect.

The actor awaits the release of his magnum opus with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Shahid ;s next is Shree Narayan Singh's Batti Gul Meter Chalu, opposite Shraddha Kapoor. He is also in talks with Imtiaz Ali for his next and, of course, there's another surprise announcement on the anvil with another top production house.
