Actor Shahid Kapoor's upcoming comedy-drama 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', which was slated to release on September 14, will now hit the big screens on September 21 this year.

Shahid Kapoor shared the news on his Instagram story by posting a quirky picture.

'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of electricity bills.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
