Bollywood star and Lok Sabha MP Govinda has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Bhojpuri Film Awards(BFA) here.

Union Minister for Food and Processing Industries Subodhkant Sahay announcing Govinda's selection Saturday said the actor was the right choice for the job.

Govinda will oversee preparations for the 2nd Bhojpuri Film Awards 2006 to be held on Feb 16 next year at the Goregaon Sports Club here.
