Vishal Bhardwaj's baddass Pataakha girls are surely different from quintessential Bollywood heroines. Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan, who play warring sisters in the movie, are hardly recognisable as they entertain with their realistic fight sequences and colourful dialogues.

We decided to decode the fights into several categories which all sisters will identify with.

The Gaali fight
The two sisters throw the choicest abuses which range from the hilarious funny like loojh mosan and khujli to catfight funny nakti and chorni.

The chappal fight
Where they aim slippers at each other and missing the aim can result in a bigger fight.

The gobar fight
Yes the mud they are dragging each other through is not mud but fresh warm cow dung. It's also a free for all. The girls admitted that they actually enjoyed it! It was so cold to shoot in that rain that they quite enjoyed the fresh warm cow dung throughout the fight scene.

The camouflage attack
They also indulge in secret attacks where one might add the wrong ingredient in the food that the other sister is cooking. Or furtively take out the sister's dress while she is sleeping and wear it.

The lathi fight
This is a big battle which has them using every ammunition they get their hands on

From staying in the village with the real sisters (on whom the story is based on)before the shoot and learning how to milk buffaloes and make cow dung cakes, to actually hitting and beating each other in the fight sequences, the girls have kept it all authentic. "For the sequences that required them to kick and pummel, they actually beat each other up, telling me not to call for 'Cut' if either screamed out during the shot. And after these realistic fights, they went back to being best friends," says Vishal.

While the fights might have had them knocking the senses out of each other, their girly camaraderie would return as soon as the fight was over. "During the fights, we forgot about the technicalities and in one scene I actually kicked her hard, while in another she slapped me. Neither of us protested because we were in character. In fact, we would hug each other for about 20 minutes after these shots, apologising profusely," says Sanya.

Pataakha, produced by Kyta Productions, B4U Motion Pictures and Vishal Bhardwaj Films. The film will release on September 28, 2018.
