Motion Content Group and Film Critics Guild announce its first ever awards

Film Critics Guild in partnership with Motion Content Group is all set to present the first-ever short film awards 'Critics' Choice Short Film Awards'. The one of its kinds awards initiative is a collaborative effort of India's most credible film critics and Motion Content Group, WPP's global content investment and rights management company, to recognize and appreciate the inventiveness and creativity of short films producers across the nation. The aim is to identify and reward the short film industry in an unbiased manner by giving due recognition to their talent. Owing to the intellectual minds coming together, the standards of the same would be exceptionally high and the independence fierce.

Anupama Chopra, Chairperson of the Film Critics Guild said ` Short films are an exciting, unique telling format. The Critics' Choice Short Film Awards have been created to celebrate and honor the best talent in short films. We hope filmmakers across states and languages will share their work.`

The growing audiences have attracted the finest creative minds to tell stories that engage with these audiences. Short films as a format have become the chosen route to capture the hopes, aspirations, conflicts, triumphs mirroring the ever-changing social and economic landscape of our country. NVS Media, a company owned by the Vistas Media Capital Pte Ltd (Singapore) has also associated with the Critics' Choice Short Film Awards marking its support and appreciation for the Indian Short Filmmakers. The Critics' Choice Short Films Awards event will be held in Mumbai in December 2018.
