It's probably the biggest wedding of this year and the security arrangements are even bigger.

According to media reports, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone who are tying the knot at Italy's Lake Como has asked the local authorities to make special security arrangements.

Ranveer's event took place at the ultra-luxurious CastaDiva Resort overlooking Lake Como while Deepika's ceremony took place at the even more glamorous Villa d' Este about 5 kilometres away.

Security at both venues is on a par with that provided for a meeting of world leaders.

At the CastaDiva resort, for instance, any and all guests or visitors have to present a special wristband while security guards cover up the camera lenses on mobile phones with stickers.

Rental company owners say they have been asked to make strict inquiries as to the purpose of the renters.

Earlier in the day, singer Harshdeep Kaur has posted a picture of herself on social media but later she deleted the picture and reports suggested that she was asked by Ranveer and Deepika to remove the picture.

With this type of security, we can expect that it will really hard to get any insight from the wedding!
