Bollywood aspirant Nitin Shingal is raring to go with his maiden directorial venture "Kindle", a short film, and thanks Yash Raj Films for making his dream come true.

"Kindle", a dark thriller, is also written by Shingal.

"Since childhood I nurtured a dream to be a filmmaker. During my graduation and even post graduation I knew I belonged somewhere else. I specially want to thank Yash Raj Films for supporting and encouraging me," said Shingal.

Shingal, a management graduate, forayed into films as an assistant director and worked with Rajkumar Hirani in "Munnabhai M.B.B.S". He then assisted Pradeep Sarkar in "Parineeta".

"When I was doing my MBA, I kept on writing to a lot of filmmakers in Mumbai. Luckily, Mr. Vidhu Vinod Chopra responded to my mail and after a couple of meetings he gave me the go ahead to join him.

"During this time I had almost finished my MBA and was already offered a job with a soft drink brand with a heavy salary. But I knew where I had to go, so I came to Mumbai and joined him in May 2001," said Shingal.

After working for Chopra, Shingal joined Yash Raj Films in 2006 and assisted Kunal Kohli on the Aamir Khan and Kajol starrer "Fanaa".

The entire post-production of Shingal's first film was done in Yash Raj Studios, Adlabs and Prime Focus.
