Marathi actress Priya Bapat is gearing up for her first Hindi web series, City of Dreams. The series is a story of lust, love, and power. Priya has got the chance to showcase many characters through her role. She is a daughter, a mother and a powerful lady, who challenges to overthrow the ruling power.

Priya has always kept politics at bay but working in a political series has changed her perception of the field completely. 'Politics is a good field for women too. Nowadays, politics is not a male-dominated entity. Women are also becoming powerful and bold (enough) to rule the world. No one can stop you if you have the talent, belief and the ability to create miracles,` she says.

Talking about her role in the series, Priya says, `We are from the Gayakvaad Family, who have a big name in politics. My father is a big political figure like Bala Saheb Thakrey. I am playing his daughter who got married young and is a mother. The story turns when my father is shot by a gangster and goes into a coma. From there on, a fight starts on who will take over my father's role as the ruler, me or my brother.`

The series has been directed By Nagesh Kuknoor and produced by Applause Entertainment. It will be hosted on Hot Star.
