After multiple reports surfacing about Deepika Padukone's citizen rights and assumed inability to cast her vote, the actress has shut down all rumours and done her bit as the responsible citizen by casting her vote, this Lok Sabha election again.

The actress took to her Instagram and expressed, `Never has there been any doubt in my mind about who I am or where I'm from.So for those of you confused on my behalf...please don't be! Jai Hind!🙏🏽 #proudtobeanindian #govote`, putting all circulations to rest.



Deepika, who is the daughter of former badminton champion Prakash Padukone and was born in Copenhagen, Denmark but grew up in Bengaluru before joining cinema industry, holds an Indian passport.

With the reports flooding the internet, doubting her claimed rights, the actress has definitely set an example for all Indians to come out and vote while there may he hindrances to the right route.

After the tremendous success of her last movie Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone became the first actress to deliver a 300+ crore film with a solo female lead.

With this another feather her cap, Deepika Padukone is perceived as the indisputable queen of box office with numerous films of 100 crore club as well as 200 crore club.
