Ever since the announcement of this film, Judgementall Hai Kya has courted enough controversies to be in the news and it has finally hit the theatres. The story of the film revolves around two individuals whose lives pivot between reality and illusions.

Primarily focused on Bobby (Kangana Ranaut), who has mental health issues due to her childhood and sometimes she can't differentiate between truth and lie. She is also struggling with aggression, hallucinations, illusions and mood swings. She is a dubbing artist and sometimes she starts behaving like the character for which she is dubbing. She is such a character that she chose 3 months asylum over ₹ 20,000 fine.


Meanwhile, she comes across Keshav (Rajkummar Rao) and Rima (Amyra Dastur) who are her new tenants. Bobby gets attracted towards Keshav, but his antics make Bobby suspicious. A murder breaks in and Bobby try to convince the police officer that Keshav is the murderer and Keshav accuse Bobby of the murder. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

Director Prakash Kovelamudi and scriptwriter Kanika Dhillon have done great justice with the story. Prakash Kovelamudi's narrative style is quirky, edgy and one that absorbs you instantly.

The first half of the film gives you a strong feel of a suspense thriller. The cinematography and color scheme make the film vibrant. In the second half, it feels that story is being dragged but soon it gets back on the track and you are again hooked to the film.


The performances are consistent throughout and it's delightful to see such talented actors feed off each other. Kangana Ranaut is brilliant as Bobby, as she seamlessly gets under the skin of her character, nailing the quirks and nuances. Even her styling makes a statement without going overboard. Rajkummar Rao fits into his slightly macho, edgy persona like a glove. We haven't seen him in a role like this before and he pulls it off fantastically.

The scenes between Rajkumar Rao & Kangana Ranaut are terrific.

Overall, Judgementall Hai Kya will keep you hooked to the screens. Though there are few drawbacks these can be ignored. Watch this film for Bobby, who is always in a zone that's funny and alarming and in her contorted world. The film keeps the suspense element alive till the end.
