Akshaye Khanna, fresh-off his role as Sanjay Barua in `The Accidental Prime Minister` will be uniting with Richa Chadha for `Section 375`, an intense courtroom drama which will pit the two actors against each other in an engaging war of words. Richa Chadha, last seen in `Cabaret` will star as Hiral Mehta, a public prosecutor to Akshaye Khanna`s Tarun Saluja, who represents the accused party in what looks to be an indictment of our legal system.

Akshaye Khanna shared the first sneak peek into the film via his social media account. The synopsis states that the story is centered on a costume designer sexually exploited by a film director, and her battle against a system that functions on gender bias. The story has a ring of #MeToo era to it, with both men and women recently coming out and speaking against these shocking instances involving abuse of power and privilege. With films such as Pink (2016) and Mom (2016) in the last three years, there seems to be an increasing surge of movies dealing with monstrosities wrecked upon the weak who are preyed upon endlessly.

Needless to say, `Section 375` will be one of the most sought releases not only because of the talent involved but also how it will deal with its depiction of Anti-Rape laws and its glaring loopholes. The film is directed by Ajay Bahl and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and also stars Meera Chopra, Rahul Bhat, Zakir Hussain, and Atul Kulkarni among others. `Section 375` will be released on 13th September.
