If there's any grain of truth to these speculations, then Anushka Sharma could be the leading lady in the 'Satte Pe Satta' remake. The remake is being made by the collaboration of Farah Khan (Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om) and Rohit Shetty (Golmaal, Singham), who shall be working together for the first time.
Hritik Roshan is said to be reprising Amitabh Bachchan's role. For a while, Deepika Padukone was being considered for Hema Malini's part, but it has eventually found its way to Anushka Sharma who is still considering it.
Anushka Sharma was last seen in Anand L. Rai's fantasy-drama 'Zero' with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She's currently on a hiatus and can be seen vacationing with husband Virat Kohli. A word on the rest of the casting, primarily the six brothers, is still unknown.
Based on the Hollywood film 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers',' Satte Pe Satta' was directed by Raj Sippy. The movie was about Indu (Hema Malini), who loves Ravi (Amitabh Bachchan). She is shocked to see his uncouth brothers and decides to civilize them. One of the brothers falls for an heiress, whose greedy uncle sends Ravi's lookalike to kill her.
