Diljit Dosanjh clarifies US concert controversy, postpones Houston show

The news was being spread on social media that Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh's Houston concert was being promoted by Pakistan origin Rehan Siddiqui which resulted in FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) issuing a letter against the singer to the MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) requesting to cancel Diljit's American visa.

"We have just seen a poster of artiste Mr. Diljit Dosanjh who is giving his performance in a show organised by Mr. Rehan Siddiqi (a Pakistani National). We are writing to him to cancel this commitment of his in the interest of sentiments and dignity of our nation," read an August 31 release from FWICE.

To which Diljit gave a clarification calling the news false and replying through an open letter on social media, he wrote-



The singer/actor also responded to the fake news being spread on social media in his own funny way on twitter -





Diljit will soon be seen portraying the character of 'Honey Singh Rangroot' alongside Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Kiara Advani in the upcoming Bollywood film 'Good Newws'

The film, directed by Raj Mehta, produced by Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar, is scheduled to release on 27th December this year.
