Two of the most iconic actors, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff are coming together after 26 years with Prassthanam and it's going to be a treat for the audience to see them back together on screen after such a long time.  
 
  The trailer showcases the storyline of the fight for the legacy in a political scenario and in the trailer it seems that Sanjay Dutt who seems to be the leader of a political party has people against him and Jackie Shroff being one of them has a face-off with a climax as to who will get the throne of the leader after him for the political party.  
 
  The audience has loved the duo together back then and now when they are coming back together again has left the fans super excited making them look forward to the film.  
 
  Just like Kabir Singh which was a cult film, Prassthanam is also one with a mass appeal owing to its storyline. Interestingly, the director of the film of both the South Indian film and Hindi remake is the same i.e Deva Katta. It has been learned that the producers wanted to keep the authenticity intact with the Hindi version thus they bought in the same director.  
 
  Set in a contemporary political family in Lucknow, Prasthanam deals with complex questions on dharma, morality, desire, right and wrong.    
 
  Ali Fazal, who plays one of Dutt's sons, is his desired successor while other pivotal roles will be played by Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Satyajeet Dubey Manisha Koirala, and Amyra Dastur.  
 
  The film is produced by Sanjay's wife Maanayata Dutt. Prasthanam will hit the theatres on September 20, 2019.
