The past decade has been momentous for celebrity Pilates trainer, Namrata Purohit. Having started her career at the age of 16, she went on to claim the title of the 'Youngest Trained Stott Pilates Instructor'. There has been no looking back since, and 2019 marks her 10th year in the industry. To commemorate this milestone, the fitness maven held a celebration to fete the expansion of her Santacruz studio. The evening saw faces like Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Anusha Dandekar and Manasi Scott , to name a few.


The Pilates Studio in Mumbai was established in 2011 by Namrata and her father Samir Purohit, and now has 17 studios in various cities across the breadth of the country. Namrata has become a B-town favourite, widely known for her Pilates routines and bringing innovative techniques to her workouts like pole, EMS and Boogie Bounce. Her clientele is headlined by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonakshi Sinha, Lisa Haydon, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, among others. This year also saw her launching her very first music video called 'Flow' that encapsulates her love for movement and rhythm.


`A journey of a million miles begins with a small step, and mine started around a decade ago when I decided to devote my life to helping people become the best version of themselves,` says Namrata. Despite her accomplishments, she insists that there's plenty to be checked off her bucketlist, including her love for diving and the idea of penning another book.
