In the last few years, the Chinese market has opened up for Bollywood films and the strong performances of films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Secret Superstar and Dangal have proved this. Since then, many Bollywood films have been released in China including Irrfan Khan's 'Hindi Medium', which did an impressive business there.

Now the news is coming that after Irrfan's Hindi Medium, another film of his is set to release in China. The name of the film is 'Madari' which was a social thriller film released in 2016. The film did an average business in India although it was appreciated by the critics.


Jimmy Sheirgill was also seen in a pivotal role alongside Irrfan in Madari. Regarding its release in China, Jimmy said that 'Madari is an important film for me and I am thankful to my producer and director who gave me the opportunity to work in this film. This film reflects the shortcomings of our society and I am very happy about its release in China. Roads are opening for Bollywood films in China and this is a good thing for our film."

Although the film's release date has not been finalized yet, it has a chance of being released in China by the end of the year. Madari was directed by Nishikant Kamat and the film was released in India on 22 July 2016.
