Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur, who impressed the critics and the audiences with her performances in Hrithik's 'Super 30' and John Abraham's 'Batla Hosue' is now going to a is now going to star in another big Bollywood film which will be a Hindi remake of the Telugu superhit film Jersey and it is confirmed.

The remake stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role in the film and now the dusky hottie Mrunal Thakur's name as the lead actress has also been finalized by the producers of the film. This is going to be the first time that the fresh pair of Mrunal and Shahid will be seen together on the silver screen.

Telugu hit 'Jersey' was a sports-drama film starring actors Nani and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles. Many actresses' names were being considered for the female lead in the Hindi remake of the film and Telugu actress Rashmika Mandana was at the top of that list but in the end, it is Mrunal that the role went to.

The Hindi remake of Jersey will also be directed by the director of the original film Gowtham Tinnauri and the film will be produced by Allu Arvind, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju. The shooting is being said to commence from December this year and the film might see its release in August 2020.
