Fans have been waiting for a long time to see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in Ayan Mukherjee's mega-budget action thriller 'Brahmastra' and while there is not much time left for the release of the film, we have received another exciting piece of news about the film that is surely going to raise the level os excitement.

As per recent updates, South Indian superstar Nagarjuna plays the role of an archaeologist in this film. His character along with some of his students travels to Varanasi to restore an ancient temple and this journey leads him to Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) and Isha (Alia Bhatt) in the film.

It is only through the character of Nagarjuna that the villains of the film Mouni Roy and Sourav Gurjar come to the fore and the heroes and villains of the film come face to face with each other. Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan are uniting once again after decades in Brahmastra which is a big deal for the fans and the film also stars Dimple Kapadia, Prateik Babbar, Divyendu in important roles as well as Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.

Brahmastra is directed by Ayan Mukherjee and the producers are Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan Mukherjee, Apoorva Mehta, and Namit Malhotra. The film is made on a huge budget of 150 crores and it will be the first film in the Brahmastra trilogy that is supposed to release by summer 2020.
