Mithali Raj, former captain of India's women's cricket team and the world's best female cricketer who is the only cricketer in world women's cricket to have crossed the 6000-run mark and scored 7 consecutive fifties, is going to have a Bollywood biopic made on her journey and the lead actress of this film has been finalized.

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, the title of this film will be 'Shabash Mithu' and the film will see Taapsee Pannu playing the role of Mithali Raj on screen. Taapsee announced the film officially a little while ago by sharing a picture with Mithali Raj on Instagram. Have a look -

Taapsee Pannu will soon be seen in Prakash Raj's directorial film 'Tadka' and after that, she will be seen in Anubhav Sinha's 'Thappad' opposite Arjun Kapoor which will is scheduled to release on March 6th, 2020
