Here's another Water-y piece of News.

Seema Biswas's mother, Meera Biswas has acted alongside her daughter in the film too and Seema has been delighted to share screen space with her.

Seema recalls how Deepa approached her mother for the role. "It so happened that I was with Deepa shooting in Sri Lanka when we all were discussing one of the characters.

It was a role for one of the widows called Dhanu. I had my mother's picture when I was shooting and Deepa happened to see it. She immediately told me that she wanted my mother to play that character," says Seema.

She adds, "My mother has been a theatre actress in Assam but I was a little apprehensive about her acting in Water. I could not visualise my mom playing a widow. I was also not sure if she her style of acting style was what Deepa was looking for. But was adamant and told me to call her to Sri Lanka."

There were some tense moments for Seema when Deepa wanted to know if her mother would shave her head. "I asked my jijaji to ask her casually and my mom surprised us by saying 'If my daughter can do it then why can't I?' I was ecstatic."

Seema played a vital scene with her mom in the film. "Although there are not too many scenes together, there is one very vital scene in the climax. I can't reveal it but I had never imagined we'd be acting in a film together. It's certainly one of the best things to happen to me in my career."
