A glorious 'week' to remember: Davos, first Indian face to a global brand and 'The Intern' for Deepika Padukone

There is nothing else that can summarize the past one week that Deepika Padukone has had. Other than the word- marvellous. With back to back achievements adding on to her list of accolades and a movie announcement, the previous one week has been a great one for her and her fans.

Firstly. the global icon was in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum 2020 where the actress was honoured with Annual Crystal Award for her contribution towards mental health awareness. One of the four awardees from across the world, this definitely was the best start to a week that followed.

In another first adding to the list of firsts for the actress, Deepika Padukone became the face to International luxury brand Louis Vuitton's Nicholas Ghesquiere's campaign as the first Indian representative to their global campaign. The actor will be featured in Louis Vuitton's 2020 pre-fall campaign which is a historic move for the brand as well as the actor- yet another glorious win for the actress.

Just recently, the actress also announced her project, the Indian Adaptation of 'The Intern' which is all slated to release in 2012. The official Hindi remake of `THE INTERN` will star Rishi Kapoor and Deepika Padukone essaying the characters played by Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in their 2015 Hollywood Film. With three back to back announcements, these seven days were the best that her fans could have where Deepika yet another time, ruled over the world.

Deepika was last seen in 'Chhapaak', a film based on the life of the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The actress played the role of Malti in the film which also starred Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film was released on January 10 and received wide appreciation for the significance it holds.

Up next, she will next feature in Kabir Khan's sports drama 83 where she will be essaying the role of former cricketer Kapil Dev's wife Romi Dev while Ranveer Singh will be seen as Kapil. The film is slated to release on 10th April 2020. The new announcement of The Intern for 2021 is another thing that is already getting us all excited!
