On the work front, Kajol was last seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Om Raut's period action thriller Tanhaji (2020), a biopic about the life of Tanaji Malusare, the military leader of Maratha Empire, in which she played his wife, Savitribai Malusare. Though her role in the movie was short, she was commended for her performance.
She will next be featured in two OTT platform films. The first being Renuka Shahane's generational family drama, Tribhanga, which marks her Netflix debut. The other is Priyanka Banerjee's short film titled, Devi, based on nine oppressed women from different strata of society forced to be in one room. It will also star Neha Dhupia, Shruti Hassan, and Neena Kulkarni along with her and is produced by Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Ivan Stephen. Devi will be releasing today on 2nd March 2020.
