Bollywood playback singers Alka Yagnik and Abhijeet will perform in this Pakistan city to raise funds for schools and hospitals for the poor.

The fundraiser is being organised by the All-Pakistan Women's Association (APWA).

"Music knows no language," said Alka. "We connect with whoever knows, understands or loves music. Borders don't matter to us."

In any case, she doesn't feel that the people in Pakistan are any different from those back home. "Everyone's really warm and friendly here," she was quoted as saying by Daily Times.
