Actress Saumya Tandon who has an enviable fan following across her social media platforms, has urged people to contribute towards health care kits for our frontline workers who venture out daily in order to keep us safe. The initiative was started by a young student who lives in her building and Saumya was more than willing to help out in all ways possible.

There is an acute shortage of face masks and PPEs for our Doctors,nurses,ward boys and the Police who have been working tirelessly through the lockdown period in order to curb the damage caused by the Coronavirus. Every effort, even in the smallest way possible can help procure funds to purchase the safety kits and Saumya has been appealing, through her social media, asking people to donate towards the cause.

Commenting on the same, she says, `A young boy who stays in my building has started this initiative and we must support it wholeheartedly. In times like these, humanity must rise to the occasion and I'm sure we will raise enough funds to procure the kits. Every drop counts in such efforts and the response has been very encouraging. We still need more funds and I hope that the citizens will leave no stone unturned to expressing gratitude towards these brave hearts who risk their lives daily to keep us safe.` She signs off.
